Project 3: Communion of Saints & The Trinity

I felt inspired to come up with a design for a cathedral that had a large stained glass half-cylindrical roof that represents heaven. Three sides of the church are made up of a series of prefabricated steel curves which expand up backwards until they reach the roof line. the remaining side, where the altar and baptismal fountain are located, has a cross-shaped floor plan as is custom for Catholic cathedrals. An artist friend of mine contributed to the project by designing the stained glass windows. Along the clerestory of the altar side are twelve squares depicting symbols related to the twelve apostles. The remaining sides each are adorned by a window representing a different person in the Holy Trinity.
